Living/Great Room - How to Create a Color Palette For The Entire Home
The paint color palette is pretty much the same as the kitchen, however here we are going to add a couple of beautiful pieces to enhance this great room.

In the first post, we explored where to begin and how to draw inspiration for your home’s colors, using one house as a case study.We looked first at the kitchen, and now we move into the living room or great room. This is fun, guys, so hold on tight because this is not going to be a bumpy ride at all.
Starting with the largest new piece for this room, the sofa, this fabulous piece from Room & Board with classic Danish design and casual comfort is inviting, comfortable and is an anchor piece in the room.
The high traffic rug, also from Room & Board, features vivid colors and hand tufted details like subtle waterfall edges. It’s the perfect pairing for the accessories in this modern and curated room that boasts a subtle bohemian coastal flair without taking away the timelessness of the overall composition.

To further add to that modern appeal I am featuring the rich velvet texture and colors of Lauren Williams’ Modern Bohemian Home Collection, an addicting, fabulous collection that adds sophisticated detail with a bohemian spirit to special areas of your home, as beautifully described by Lauren herself.

As a designer who was once admittedly self-conscious about the photos of my interiors when compared with interiors in magazines (comparison is your enemy!), I can honestly say now that there is a reason why my interiors do not look like those.It is not that my interiors are not as good or are not created with as much passion and dedication; it is simply that they are different.Why different? Well, first because each space is designed for that client and their desires, and also because just like everyone else, I am different and unique. My clients also want luxury and high-end finishes, but we strive for a collected and timeless appearance in the overall design. Each piece, each surface, each selection, small or large, is selected and curated carefully with lots thought and loads of information gathered from the client themselves.Each space is meant to evoke a specific feeling and ambiance for the people who live and play in it so that it is lived in. So the pieces selected for this example were also carefully chosen to represent our process.
