When You Are Under Pressure Just Breathe
A Rebirth Makeover
pressure
Hey Peeps!
OMG! Talk about pressure. We are at the tail end of Week #5 of the One Room Challenge and there is a lot to do still.
Having a house full of sick people including myself and having to travel for work did not help, but am sure I will get it done this week. Photographed early next week and really hope to get some engagement and comments on this makeover. It's something I always wanted to do- enter a challenge or design competition and it was never the right time. Well, this wasn't the right time either but I am doing it.
How am I going to get it done?
Well, breathing. I have known for a while that taking deep Yoga breaths helps with anxiety and re-centering. So, that is what I am doing. Breathing. After having to move out of my lovely shop, accept the changes that I have gone through, letting go of the hard work I had put into that space, the “emotional rollercoaster” and exhaustion from the resistance - Yes, I was resistant to letting go, but I believe there are better things in store for me and SEA INTERIOR DESIGN.
I am more convinced now than ever that when in doubt, surrender, then surrender again and ask The Universe/God/Higher Power for guidance- but not asking for what I think I need, instead allow.
To-Do List
Wallpaper the two walls.
Install window treatment hardware.
Hang window T.
Style the office.
No new chairs, or new desk yet :(
Connect the lights above the display wall.
Add two shelves to the display wall.
Photograph.
Accomplish this with patience and grace and give it my all.

Accessories
Selecting accessories for a small office where I need to make space for samples, office supplies, books etc and there is little space/room for decorative items will be challenging. Yet, still keep it inspiring, welcoming and my personal choice - charming. I keep candles, I love candles, I light a candle every day. The aroma keeps me calm, the glow makes it comfortable. I like to stimulate all senses not just visual and tactile with accessories.I also love plants too, and like fewer but impactful or meaningful accessories. Things that are unusual, unique and conversation pieces.I also love texture, organic shapes, and materials- and depending on the space pops of cohesive color. However, in this case, this office is pretty monochromatic. So, for now, I am planning on brushed gold, black & white and perhaps some wood tones. (May edit the wood)Accessorizing this office is going to be tough, but am sure I will nail it- even if some editing is required after the reveal.
